Burning Dan, a man of great kindness, boundless optimism and unbridled Awesome joined with the Force on the night of the 4th/5th of October. He was a friend to many around the world, a mentor to many more and an inspiration to still more. Here’s a video of him explaining some things about the world we live in. So Kat and I shot a bunch of footage at the last Epic Garden Party and haven’t had a chance to edit it. We recently got together and did some hardcore Premiere sessions in which she taught me a bunch of awesome things. I did some tweaking and post-production of my own and we ended up with this: Pretty nifty, I feel! Watch this space for more!

So a while ago, I posted this lovely video of G doing his thing: Well, a few days ago, my long-lost twin brother Joe and crazy Scottish hug monkey Cat came down to visit and we went to do the touristy thing in London by way of Buckingham Palace. I first got introduced to poi about 6 months ago and have been steadily getting better and dragging people into it as I go along. It’s a wonderfully relaxing hobby and does wonders for your coordination and proprioception (perceiving your own self as opposed to perception, which means perceiving the world around you). Some alcohol and a certain holly bush was involved in my first forays into poi spinning but I persevered and now I’ve returned from an absolutely fantastic trip from Bali, courtesy of Nick Woolsey, G and a whole host of other flow artists over at Playpoi. ...
